Paper over plastic

In 2019, we stopped posting our catalogues in plastic and started wrapping them in paper instead, saving 65 tonnes (that’s almost 10 elephants) of plastic a year!

Recycled plastic

All of the bags we use in the returns process are 100% made from recycled bottles, turning waste plastic into happy post!
And don't forget, the plastic bags we send out your orders in are fully recyclable too...so please do!

Greener Delivery

We're going green with Hermes, our logistics partner, to offer you more sustainable delivery options!
The carbon footprint of a ParcelShop delivery has only 10%* of the CO2 emissions of a parcel delivered to your door. So, by choosing to have your order delivered to a ParcelShop, you're helping us to reduce the carbon footprint of your parcel and protect the planet.
ParcelShop: 15-30g CO2 per parcel
Home Delivery: 150-300g CO2 per parcel

Buying something electrical from us?
We’ll recycle your old one for free!
Did you know that, if you buy an electrical item from us – that’s anything with a plug, cable or battery – we’ll happily recycle the electrical item you’re replacing for FREE, as part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact? All you need to do is bring the old electrical item you’re replacing into one of our stores within 28 days, with the receipt for its replacement, and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s as easy as that!
Globally, electrical items are now the fastest growing form of waste, and they often contain parts or materials that could harm the environment if they’re not disposed of correctly. Not only that but, recycling them means they can be reused or turned into something new – from children’s playgrounds to lifesaving equipment - which is kinder to our planet, boosts the economy and improves lives! Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is regulated by the UK Government, which you can read more about here, and you can find out more about the benefit of recycling and reusing your electrical at Recycle Your Electricals.
The item you’d like to return and recycle doesn’t need to have been bought from us but it must be like-for-like in terms of type and size to the replacement you’ve purchased. Simply make sure the item is clean, dry and doesn’t present a health and safety risk to anyone handling it, and bring it to the till in any of our stores.
Remember, when you see this symbol on your electrical items, it’s a reminder to recycle them rather than throwing them away…and, in partnership with the national Recycle Your Electricals campaign, we’re here to help you do just that!
