Tips for Safe and Secure Shopping at Cotton Traders
We want to ensure our customers shop online safely and easily. We've therefore put together a list of some simple tips to help you shop securely online with us.
- Check you're shopping at one of our official secure websites; cottontraders.com (UK) or cottontraders.ie (Ireland). Ensure one of these addresses appear in your web address bar at the top of the page; any websites where the web address differs (even a small spelling change) are not affiliated with Cotton Traders. These can be reported to our Customer Services team via Contact Us.
- Don’t forget, when shopping online, paying by Credit Card can offer more protection against fraudulent websites. Check with your bank for full details on how your payment card protects you online. A transaction with Cotton Traders will appear on your statement as “cottontraders.com GB” – anything different may need investigating
- If shopping on Facebook, the only Facebook page we have is “Cotton Traders”. This will be shown on the page, on all our posts and our promotional adverts too. Any variation is not our official page, post or advert
- We charge £3.99 for Standard UK Delivery and £5.99 for UK Express Delivery. We always ship your parcel directly from our UK distribution centre. Any websites or Facebook adverts presenting themselves as Cotton Traders but advertising higher UK postage costs are a fraudulent website which can be reported
- On our official websites, you'll see the Norton logo at the bottom of all pages, which provides authentication from a professional third party that your shopping journey with us is safe and secure. If you visit a website which appears to be Cotton Traders but doesn't have this logo, then stop shopping immediately and report this to our team via Contact Us.
- On our official websites, clicking the Norton logo will take you through to an official certification page (note pop-up blockers must be turned off to see this). If you're on a website which appears to be Cotton Traders and has the Norton logo but you can't click through (and pop-up blockers have been disabled), then stop shopping immediately and report this to our team via Contact Us.
- If you're visiting one of our official websites, a padlock will appear to the left of the web address in your address bar. This is to reassure you that the website is secure, however, please continue to undertake the above checks to ensure it's an official Cotton Traders website.

Using our Website
At 'checkout' any information you enter is encoded to prevent anybody else accessing your payment details.
