Not real leather uppers, but they are well constructed and substantial. They look very smart and were comfortable straight from the box, - no breaking in needed. The smooth leather appearance means they are easier to clean than a suede finish, after a muddy walk.

Excellent walking Shoes - And don't leak!
These walking shoes are very good quality; made from excellent materials, at a very good price. I have tried a number of different brands of walking shoes and they all let water in but not these. They are easy to keep clean - with a decent leather shoe polish - are very comfortable and with a firm gripping tread. I did order a size bigger than normal, as they seemed narrow for my foot, but that's worked well. All in all, a good buy, very pleased with the shoes.
