At Cotton Traders, we are committed to safeguarding the security of our customers' details. On 28th October 2008, the business became the first multichannel retail merchant in the UK to be officially certified as Tier 1 compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The process involved to meet these standards can often take several years.

The following points give a brief overview of what this means for our customers and why they can continue to shop with confidence at Cotton Traders.

- All cardholder data is encrypted before being transmitted across the Internet or internal networks.

- Our systems are regularly checked and monitored by third party security professionals.

- Cotton Traders overall adheres to a strict security policy; and payment processing is managed at the highest standards.

Using our Website

At 'checkout' any information you enter is encoded to prevent anybody else accessing your payment details. Our site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates that ensure your data is encrypted when transmitted over the Internet. When you are in the secure section of the site, a padlock symbol appears in your browser. In most web browsers this appears to the right of the address bar at the top.

Verified by Visa' and 'MasterCard SecureCode' are additional security measures for customers using payment cards from Visa and MasterCard. This allows you to confirm your identity before purchase as a protection from unauthorised use of your credit or debit card when shopping online. For more details, please visit Visa, or MasterCard online or contact your card issuer.
