I bought these because of the cut not the no vpl. I was surprised at how no vpl is achieved i.e. no seam on the legs, strange concept to someone of my age but nevertheless very comfortable. Strange feeling material, almost slippery but trousers are very easily pulled up and down, got to be a plus. Washed well.

Not high waisted
Not as high waisted as in the photo. Feel flimsy. Not sure how well they will last. The leg lines are not visible under clothes but the waist line is. I would have returned these if it was allowed.
