Former England rugby players Fran Cotton and Steve Smith founded Cotton Traders in 1987. While their broad shoulders were certainly an advantage on the pitch, they made buying everyday clothes a little awkward. So they set out to create quality casuals that get better with age and accommodate all shapes and sizes.
Today, the Cotton Traders name has become an impressive brand synonymous with durable, comfortable clothing for real people, now extended across a broad range of merchandise, from our trademark authentic ruggers and classic pique polos through to women’s fashion and footwear.
With over 120 retail stores across garden centres, high streets, outlets and travel sites, over 40m catalogues printed each year, 180,000 website visitors a week and a dedicated UK customer contact centre, we have become a strong brand with an extremely loyal and dedicated customer base.
In response to customer demand, we launched overseas shipment in 2012 and now proudly deliver to 40 countries worldwide.
