TERMS AND CONDITIONS - UK ORDERS


Ordering

Order by website - visit cottontraders.com.

Order by telephone - call 0844 844 1111* (UK orders only)

Order by post - send completed order form with payment to Cotton Traders Ltd, Cotton Hub, Merlin Court, Atlantic Street, Broadheath, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 5NL. (UK orders only)

To maintain our quality standards, we may monitor and record calls to enable us to ensure the highest level of service to our customers.

The right to refuse or restrict any order is reserved.

* Calls to 0844 numbers cost 7p per minute plus your phone company's access charge.

First Order

Your first order (phone, fax or post) must be delivered to the address your card is registered to. This is to protect you from the increased threat from Internet and Credit Card fraud.

Payments

By credit & debit cards:

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Your card will be charged for the full value of your order on authorisation.

By cheque and postal order:

Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to Cotton Traders Ltd and posted to Cotton Traders Ltd, Cotton Hub, Merlin Court, Atlantic Street, Broadheath, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 5NL along with your completed order form. (UK orders only)

By Cotton Traders Gift Voucher:

Cotton Traders gift vouchers can be used against mail or telephone orders. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed through our retail shops or on our website. If ordering by phone please quote the voucher number to your operator. If ordering by post, please cut off the voucher and enclose with your order. Cotton Traders gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Vouchers expire after two years and may only be redeemed against a single order.

Delivery

Our aim is to deliver your order within 3-5 working days from dispatch, subject stock availability & excludes Sale periods. Please allow 7 working days for delivery before tracking your items.

If you ordered online you can log in to your 'My Account' section and use online order history to monitor the progress of your delivery.

We deliver throughout the UK using our courier network of over 1800 local delivery agents. This makes your deliveries more secure and gives the added flexibility of evening and weekend deliveries in many areas. We have to allow 7 working days for delivery before we can raise an enquiry with our couriers.

Delivery Charges

Cotton Traders charge a standard £3.99 for all orders, be it a single or multiple items.

If we send your order in separate parcels you will still only pay one delivery charge.

Cotton Traders Insurance

For just 48p, in the unlikely event that your order does go missing in transit we'll arrange an investigation with our courier network and dispatch an immediate replacement, subject to availability. If stock is no longer available we will offer an immediate refund. Please delete from order form if not required.

Cancellation Policy

Under Consumer Regulations you have the right to cancel your order with us as long as you do so no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive your goods. You must inform us of your wish to cancel your order in writing either by letter or e-mail, include your name, address and account number. You should return goods to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, within 14 days of informing us of your wish to cancel. If you do cancel the entire order it is your responsibility to return the goods to us at your cost.

The cost of your order will be reimbursed in full including any standard delivery charges provided the entire order is returned including any promotional gifts that formed part of the original order. Additional Delivery Charges: next day/nominated day or Sunday delivery will not be refunded if you cancel or return your order.

We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them during transit.

Preview Orders

Twice a year we have a Preview range to find out what products you want to see in next season's catalogue.

We offer 20% discount to a selection of existing customers on advanced orders from the Preview catalogue. Items are not charged until the order is released for dispatch later in the year

For online customers please be aware an authorisation request will be sent to the bank for the full amount. This may stay on your account for a number of days (amount of days differs with each bank)

Prices

The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations due to the rate of value added tax. The correct price will be shown on your delivery note.

Prices shown on our website only apply to mail order and may not be available in store.

Promotions

Please note that some free gifts and promotions have a minimum spend to qualify. All our gifts are chosen for specific promotions and can't be exchanged. You can only use ONE Promotional Code per order. We reserve the right to exchange the gift featured for an alternative.

All promotions have an expiry date. Please check this before placing your order. To qualify for the correct promotion please quote the 4 digit Promotional Code which can be found on promotional material or order form.

Promotional discounts will be applied to all items; any items returned will be refunded minus discount.

Availability

All stock (including free gifts) is subject to availability. We will advise of current due in date at time of ordering if order is placed by web or telephone. If this date changes & is estimated to be due 14 days or later, we will inform you in writing. Any orders placed via mail order will receive written confirmation of expected due in date.

For the purpose of current EU consumer contract legislation all promotions associated with orders from Cotton Traders Ltd (including free gifts, prices, discounts, multi-buy savings and any other similar offers) will cease to be valid when stock is no longer available, unless otherwise stated.

Colour Reproduction

Every care has been taken to ensure that the product descriptions and specifications are correct. The limitations of colour reproduction may mean a slight variation from the actual products can occur.

Returns

Please see "How do I return items?" for details on how to return an item to us or refer to your dispatch note. items bought through one of our Retail Shops can be returned with the receipt to any Cotton Traders store or outlet (excluding Boundary Mill Stores) within 28 days of purchase.

Refunds

All orders returned back to Cotton Traders are automatically refunded back to the original payment method account.

Exchanges

If you would like a replacement item (alternative size or colour) we will re-order with no fee to you for Post and Packing - please call us on 0161 286 4321 and select the option to order a replacement item.

Confidential Mailing

Cotton Traders observe the code of practice covering the use of personal data as outlined in the Data Protection Act of 1998. We also comply fully with the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013.

To unsubscribe from mailings either call Customer Care Team on 0161 286 4321 or visit your 'My Account' section and update your mailing preferences. You can still choose to receive catalogues or can opt out of both e-mail and postal mailing lists. Please state your requirements clearly on all correspondence. Customer changes may take up to 28 days to take effect, you may still receive a number of mailings while we remove your details from the list.

Recommend Your Friend - Terms and Conditions for Mailing Promotion

Please allow approx 2 weeks for you and your friend to receive your 10% discount and free delivery promotion (worth £3.99), but it may take up to 28 days. Your friend needs to be a new customer to Cotton Traders, i.e. never placed an order with Cotton Traders and does not live at the same address as you, for you both to qualify for the 10% discount and free delivery promotion. If the person you recommend is already an existing customer with Cotton Traders or the details you provide are incomplete or incorrect, then neither of you will receive the 10% discount or free delivery promotion. Please make sure that the friend you are recommending is happy for us to contact them. If asked, we will let your friend know who has recommended them to us. Your friend will be given the opportunity to opt out of any future communications when they receive their first ‘Recommend a Friend’ mailing. 10% off required a minimum spend of £25. Unfortunately we can only mail to the U.K.

Ordering

Order by website - visit cottontraders.com. We currently deliver to the following countries: Australia, Austria, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United States.

Payments

By credit & debit cards

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Please note payment is taken at point of sale in Sterling at your bank provider’s current exchange rate. Orders can only be placed via our website and the credit card used must be registered to the billing address. This is to protect you from the increased threat from Internet and Credit Card fraud.

By PayPal

We also accept PayPal as a payment method for deliveries to addresses in Australia, Austria, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United States.

Delivery

Our aim is to deliver your order 3-5 working days from dispatch (EU countries) or 7 working days (countries outside of the EU). This is subject to stock availability and excludes Sale periods. Delivery will be by DHL - Monday to Friday, during local country business hours, with a signature service.

Please note international shipments may be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities, which may affect delivery times.

Delivery Charges

Cotton Traders charge £6.95 for all international orders to Austria, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain and Sweden.

Cotton Traders charge £8.95 for all international orders to Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Cotton Traders charge £9.95 for all international orders to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland and United States.

These costs apply to single or multiple items.

If we send your order in separate parcels you will still only pay one delivery charge.

Customs Duties and Charges

If your delivery address is outside of the EU, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information.

Cancellation Policy

If you are a customer in the European Economic Area (EEA), Under Consumer Regulations you have the right to cancel your order with us as long as you do so no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive your goods. You must inform us of your wish to cancel your order in writing either by letter or e-mail, include your name, address and account number. You should return goods to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, within 14 days of informing us of your wish to cancel.
